July 15, 2014 — The Wyoming Pharmacy Association has recognized Lanae Fox (Pharm.D.
’10), from Casper, Wyoming, as the 2014 Distinguished Young Pharmacist. The award
was created in 1987 by Pharmacist Mutual Companies to encourage newer pharmacists
to become involved in association activities and civic projects, and to recognize
one pharmacist in each state for individual excellence and outstanding contributions.
Fox is a mentor to new pharmacists and a great instructor to her students. Her colleagues
comment that she is an invaluable resource for clinical information and someone that
they respect for her willingness to help in any situation.
Fox is a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the University of Wyoming
School of Pharmacy and her practice setting is the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
She teaches in the Introduction to Pharmacokinetics and Therapeutics II courses. Her
research interest areas include medication therapy management and family medicine.
Fox is a member of the American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Health-System
Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, Wyoming Pharmacy Association,
and the Wyoming Society of Health-System Pharmacy. She is currently the vice president
of the Wyoming Pharmacy Association.
