July 30, 2014 — University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy student Greg Miller, from
Winnipeg, Canada, has received a 2014 American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
(AACP) Walmart Scholar Award.
The award provided $1,000 scholarships to 85 student-faculty pairs from across the
country to attend the 2014 AACP Annual Meeting and Teachers Seminar in Grapevine,
Texas, July 26–30. Miller and faculty mentor Suzanne Clark attended the meeting. During
the meeting, Miller presented a poster titled, “Implementing a Student-Lead Supplemental
Instruction (SI) Program for School of Pharmacy Basic Sciences Courses.”
The goal of the scholarship program is to strengthen the recipient’s skills and commitment
to a career in academic pharmacy through their participation at the AACP Annual Meeting.
