August 24, 2014 — University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy Clinical Associate Professor
of Pharmacy Practice Michelle Hilaire, Pharm.D., CDE, BCPS, was selected to receive
one of ten scholarships to attend the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP)
Leadership and Management Academy, which is an educational program aimed at developing
leadership and management abilities. Hilaire was awarded the scholarship from the
ACCP Ambulatory Care Practice and Research Network.
“I will utilize this opportunity to gain insight into ways to strengthen the faculty
development program within the School of Pharmacy,” says Hilaire. The ACCP Leadership
and Management Certificate Program curriculum includes 18 hours of core modules and
8 hours of elective programming. In addition to completing the required curriculum,
each participant must develop and maintain an online electronic portfolio. Hilaire
will also work with Associate Dean of Research and Outcomes Kem Krueger, Pharm.D.,
Ph.D., who will serve as her mentor during the program.
