August 14, 2014 — University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy P3 student Ashley Francis,
from San Anselmo, California, attended the Phi Delta Chi (PDC) Pharmacy Fraternity
15th Leader-Development Seminar August 6–10 in Tampa, Florida. Francis represented
the UW Alpha Mu Chapter at the national meeting. The chapter was recognized for earning
a 100 percent Achievement Award for reports completed throughout the 2013–2014 school
year and also placed fifth for the Brotherhood Award.
Representatives from pharmacy programs throughout the United States attended the meeting
where they were able to develop relationships with other PDC pharmacy students, alumni,
and national officers. During the meeting, numerous workshops covered leadership topics
for both individual and group development. Following up on her experience, Francis
will share ideas, connections, and knowledge she gained at this conference with other
