Apply to UW
One key student success program in the School of Pharmacy is the Aspire program. Through this program, high achieving first-year undergraduate students are recruited into the pre-pharmacy major. The program provides students with opportunities for personal and professional growth in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and professionalism.
In the Aspire program, students:
receive one-on-one mentoring from both a faculty member and a student in the professional program.
receive an application scholarship to cover PharmCAS application costs.
are guaranteed a UW Pharmacy School Admissions Interview.
will have their seat fee waived if they are admitted to the professional program.
have opportunities to develop leadership skills.
receive funding for travel to national meetings.
Aspire students are required to:
maintain a 3.5-grade point average.
complete a project.
join a Pharmacy Student Organization.
attend at least two seminars per semester.
Faculty mentors Becky Linn and Leena Myran meet with their Aspire students Jenna Wichman and Samantha Weber over breakfast at Rendezvous Cafe.
