Deputy Vice President for Research and Innovation

Arundeep S. Pradhan, MS Pharm Ad., RTTP is technology transfer professional, teacher, and mentor, and entrepreneur.
Arundeep is currently the Deputy Vice President for Research & Innovation at the University of Wyoming where he works closely with the University’s Technology Transfer Office, Pre Awards Office, Research Compliance Office, the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Office of Industry and Strategic Partnerships. He is responsible for working with senior leadership to enhance and grow University of Wyoming’s research enterprise and the innovation ecosystem.
He has worked extensively with universities and government agencies across the world on and innovation ecosystems enhancement and has been an entrepreneur serving as the executive vice president for business development for TMTRx, a startup developing treatments for drug overdose, and the CEO and the vice-president for business development of Practical Biotechnology, an oncology therapeutics startup. Prior to that, Mr. Pradhan led the technology transfer and business development offices at Oregon Health and Science University and the technology transfer offices at Colorado State University Research Foundation (now CSU STRATA), and the University of Utah.
Arundeep has assisted over 150 startups and small business with funding, business development, and commercialization strategies, and proposal development for SBIR/STTR grants. He was at the forefront of creating the biotech burst in Salt Lake City; helped develop the first biotech roadmap for Colorado; and, helped create the first biotech incubator and the first translational research development center in Portland, Oregon.
As a long-time member of AUTM Mr. Pradhan has worked on numerous committees and courses. In 2009, Mr. was selected as the AUTM President and served on the AUTM Board from 2005 to 2010. He was selected to lead the AUTM Foundation as its President and Board Chair from 2011 to 2013. He is serves as faculty on the AUTM Essentials, Startups, and Advance Licensing courses.
