Emma Carlson

We are excited to welcome Emma Carlson as the new Knowledge Coproduction Coordinator.

In this role, Emma will act as a bridge between partners on the ground and the WyACT team — working to connect researchers, local organizations, and individuals across Wyoming who are leading important work around water and climate. Her work focuses on streamlining communication, coordinating partnerships, and supporting the co-creation of knowledge that values both lived experience and scientific insight.

Originally from Colorado, Emma received her master’s degree in Environment, Natural Resources, & Society from the University of Wyoming. Her previous work focused on sustainability and place-based partnerships both in the U.S. and internationally. She is passionate about connecting people across diverse perspectives to collaborate on environmental and social challenges. When not working, you’ll likely find her backpacking, on her road bike, or just soaking in time outside in the landscapes she loves!

If you're working on water, climate, or community-led initiatives in Wyoming — or have ideas and stories to share — please reach out and connect!
