Saddle Up is required for all first-time, full-time domestic students attending the University of Wyoming.
Students entering their first semester at UW will be enrolled in the one-credit Saddle
Up course at New Student Days or during online summer advising meetings. Financial aid may be available to students
who require assistance with fees for this program.
One Credit Hour
UW follows a block tuition model. The one credit hour Saddle Up course is counted toward student fall courseloads
for financial aid and block tuition purposes.
$400 Housing and Dining Cost
There is a $400 fee for meals and housing for the week of Saddle Up. Students who
have approved for an exemption from living in the residence halls for the semester
will still be required to participate in Saddle Up programming, including mealtimes.
This will incur a $225 dining cost for off-campus students regardless of use.
This course fee is separate from regular student fees during the fall semester and
covers the cost of enrichment, staff, and supplementary programming during the week
of Saddle Up. Course fee assistance is available to those in need of financial assistance;
email email@example.com for more details.
Some financial aid, awards and scholarships you have received as part of your attendance
to the University of Wyoming may cover your Saddle Up fees. If you are experiencing
financial hardship due to costs, please contact our team in the Office of Scholarships
and Financial Aid.
Financial assistance to cover the course fee may be available for students with demonstrated
financial need. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
