Saddle Up Costs

Saddle Up is required for all first-year, full-time domestic students attending the University of Wyoming in fall 2022.

Students entering their first fall semester at UW will be automatically enrolled in the one-credit Saddle Up course after confirming their fall enrollment. Financial aid may be available to students who require assistance with tuition and fees for this program.

Student Cost Breakdown

Tuition for One Credit Hour

Students will pay tuition for one (1) credit hour which will appear on your fall student account bill as UWYO 1019. Please note that tuition for in-state and nonresident students differs.

$200 Course Fee

This course fee is separate from regular student fees during the fall semester and covers the cost of enrichment and supplementary programming during the week of Saddle Up.

$220 Housing & Dining Cost

Additionally, there is a $220 fee for meals and housing for the week of Saddle Up. Students who have approved for an exemption from living in the residence halls for the fall 2022 semester will still be required to participate in Saddle Up programming, including mealtimes which will incur pro-rated dining costs that will be listed on a student’s fall semester bill.
