Dawson Kluesner is an Assistant Research Professional in the Center for Energy Regulation
and Policy Analysis at the School of Energy Resources.
Kluesner is a triple alumnus of the University of Wyoming, earning two bachelor’s
degrees in business economics and marketing in 2023, and a Master of Business Administration
with a concentration in energy business in 2024.
During his academic career, Kluesner held several research and internship roles focused
on Wyoming’s economic and policy landscape. As a research intern with the Wyoming
Taxpayers Association, he regularly analyzed state tax policy and regulation. He was
also a recipient of the Summer Undergraduate Research in Economics (SURE) Program,
where he chose to analyze the economic impacts of ecotourism on the Wind River Indian
Reservation. Additionally, he supported communication and marketing efforts while
interning with Leadership Wyoming.
At SER, Kluesner applies his experience to monitor and analyze proposed and enacted
federal and state policy. His work focuses on assessing the economic and fiscal impacts
of policy changes relevant to Wyoming’s energy sector, while facilitating communication
with legislators, industry leaders, and other stakeholders. He also authors the monthly
Consolidated Review of Energy in Wyoming (CREW) Report.
