Randall Violett serves as the Program Director for the Energy and Environmental Systems (EES) Concentration within the Energy Resource Management and Development (ERMD) degree program—a part-time administrative role in the School of Energy Resources.

 

He joined the University of Wyoming in November 2022 as Associate Director of the Ranch Management and Agricultural Leadership Program in the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences, and Natural Resources (CALSNR). In this role, he helps bridge multidisciplinary academic learning with hands-on experience, connecting students to agricultural producers and industry professionals.

 

Violett brings extensive experience as an agricultural educator and researcher. He has taught at Northwest College in Powell, Southern Utah University, and Utah State University, in addition to working in secondary and adult education programs in Montana. He previously served as a research scientist at UW’s Powell Research and Extension Center, where he also earned his Ph.D. in agronomy.
