9H Research Foundation has teamed up with the School of Energy Resources (SER) to offer a $4,000 research energy competition.
Students entered in the competition will spend the spring semester developing an energy project on a designated topic addressing a critical energy need. The competition will be judged at the end of the semester for a cash prize by a panel of UW energy experts.
Declare participation in competition: January 21, 2022
Concept papers due: April 15, 2022
Winner selection and awards: May 15, 2022
First Place: $2,000
Second Place: $1,500
Third Place: $500
This year's topics is a techno-economic analysis of different routes for hydrogen production in Wyoming through either underground coal gasification or hydrogen from solar.
