Celebrate Energy!

Held in conjunction with a University of Wyoming Cowboy football game, Energy Day is a headline event recognizing Wyoming’s energy sector. To showcase the industry and celebrate accomplishments in energy research and development at the University of Wyoming, the School of Energy Resources and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences host events and engagement opportunities with UW faculty, staff, students, and industry partners in the days preceding the game on campus.

Energy day 2025 activities

12:20-1:20 PM: ENERGY DAY CAREER PANEL

LOCATION: ENERGY INNOVATION CENTER, ENCANA AUDITORIUM

 

1:20-2:20 PM: STUDENT ENERGY CAREERS NETWORKING EVENT 

LOCATION: ENERGY INNOVATION CENTER, PUREWEST STUDENT AREA

 

12:00-1:00 PM: DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER SERIES & GIFT CEREMONY, MATTHEW BABCOCK, CHIEF COMMERCIAL OFFICER OF NAVAJO TRANSISTIONAL ENERGY COMPANY

LOCATION: ENERGY INNOVATION CENTER, ENCANA AUDITORIUM

 

1:00-2:30 PM: OPEN HOUSE SHOWCASING COAL-DERIVED PRODUCTS AND NTEC MINE PROJECT

LOCATION: ENERGY INNOVATION CENTER 3D VIZ CENTER

 

5:00-7:00 PM: MULTIDISCIPLINARY ADVANCED STIMULATION LAB GRAND OPENING & RECEPTION (INVITE ONLY)

1:00 PM: STUDENT TAILGATE OPENS

LOCATION: PETE'S PARTY LAWN IN SPOT #8

 

3:00 PM: INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY & VIP OPENS

Energy Day Football Game Support

This is the primary catalyst behind Energy Day, a theme that extends throughout Athletics, allowing companies and organizations to become sponsors. Depending on the sponsorship package, benefits may include tickets for employee or customer use, promotional features for sponsors during the game, and invitations to various pre-game activities on the day of the event. Energy Day Activities Support

If you are looking for ways to support the extracurricular Energy Day activities (not the football game), you can sponsor the SER/CEPS activities. We will be putting together a sponsorship opportunity for the Career Panel and Reception. These are much smaller in support and only provide recognition of your sponsorship at the actual SER/CEPS events and agenda, not in the football-related activities.
