Mission Statement

We help provide a path for students to achieve their higher education goals at the University of Wyoming (UW) by assisting the UW community (students, families, faculty, and staff). We aim to equip those individuals with financial aid resources to facilitate student recruitment, enrollment, and retention.

Purposes

We will facilitate student recruitment, enrollment, and retention by:

Providing quality customer service to students from a knowledgeable and professional staff committed to providing accurate and clear information appropriate to their individual needs.
Assisting students who may otherwise be unable to obtain post-secondary education at UW.
Administering financial assistance within guidelines set by federal, state, and private agencies so as to maintain the integrity of those funds.
Advising students with respect to their financial aid package and financial aid management.
Acting as a central overseeing agency for other departments which offer awards, employment and other assistance to students.
Collaborating with other units and departments to ensure seamless services to students.

Vision Statement

We strive to eliminate financial barriers to higher education by promoting scholarship, grant, employment, and loan opportunities for students who must find funds to attend college. We are focused on improving financial aid processes to streamline the student experience with our office. We continue to adapt to the changes in federal, state, institutional and private funding rules and as well as variables in the economy. We respect the dignity and diversity of each student in a confidential environment.
