Hathaway Scholarships

Qualifying for a Hathaway Scholarship at UW

The Visual Arts building at sunset

Three levels of the Hathaway Scholarship are available for immediate student use at UW:  Opportunity, Performance, and Honors. Qualifying for a Hathaway Scholarship does not automatically qualify a student for admission to UW.  Please see the UW Admissions Web site at www.uwyo.edu/admissions for admission requirements.

A fourth level, the "Provisional Opportunity," is available to eligible transfer students who had this scholarship level at a Wyoming community college and graduated with a 2.25 or better in an associate's degree program. Students meeting these criteria will be awarded four additional semesters to continue at UW, so long as they have not exceeded six years since initiating Hathaway. Requirements for the Hathaway Provisional Opportunity Scholarship are different than the top three levels.
