During your first year at UW, SOAR will introduce you to the foundations of the college experience. You’ll explore areas of focus such as campus involvement, community engagement, and resources for personal and career support. These opportunities help you build a strong foundation and begin discovering your interests. By the end of the year, you’ll have a clearer sense of direction and what to expect from your SOAR journey ahead.

This year is a chance to intentionally shape the direction of your college experience and build momentum for the years ahead.

In your third year, you’ll dive further into the experiences that inspire and challenge you. Whether through internships, leadership roles, or undergraduate research, you’ll continue developing key competencies that support your future career. This is a time for meaningful application and growth as you prepare for what’s next.
Step 4: SOAR Into Your Next Journey
Your final year at UW is a time to celebrate progress and prepare for the transition ahead. Take on leadership roles, participate in capstone projects, or consider global learning opportunities. Strengthen your network by connecting with faculty mentors, advisors, and career specialists. Finish strong as you finalize your goals and SOAR into your next chapter.
