E400 VTOL - Drone

With support from the TIER1 Engineering Initiative, the School of Computing has purchased a state of the art vertical takeoff and landing fixed wing mapping drone that could be of interest for enabling research across CEPS and UW. The SoC will be putting together formal procedures for research groups to request use of this drone, and in preparation for this we would like to make initial training available.

The E400 VTOL Drone is a complicated piece of equipment, and one condition for using it will be that any operator must have received proper training. The company will be doing an initial training next week on the 18th and 19th of June. We are still finalizing details regarding the schedule and location, but I wanted to let you know this is coming up even though final logistics are still being worked out.
