Veterans Summer Bridge
Need to dust off your math skills in preparation for your transition to college?
Interested in building a support network with other student veterans and UW staff and faculty?
Think about participating in the Math-Intensive Summer Bridge!
As a student-veteran, you:
- Enter the program with a math ACT score between 17-26 or SAT score between 470-630.
- Take one intensive 4-week math class.
- Enhance your core math skills as well as prepare you for the math placement exam.
- Have the potential opportunity to enroll in a higher level math class in fall semester which will help you progress faster in your degree program.
- Earn 4 credits when you complete the program
- 3 hrs math
- 1 hr First-Year Experience (FYE) – Veteran Transition Skills
- Have the opportunity to live on campus with a small group of other bridge participants, building a community and support network.
- Learn skills and habits for college that lead to high success rates in the first year.
- Build key relationships with faculty, peer mentors, and staff.
- Have fun exploring Laramie’s beautiful outdoors and local activities.
- Increase your chances of success in your first year (and beyond).
- Familiarize yourself with the UW Campus.
