Paintings of the relationship between gender and identity are on display through Dec. 4 at the University of Wyoming Gallery 234, located in the lower level of the Wyoming Union.

Chloe West created a set of nude figures that explores themes of self-identity and place. The paintings are accompanied by a visual analysis review from UW American Studies student Mariah West.

“My paintings speak of the duality between self and place, our humanity and our home,” Chloe West says.

Mariah West will present her gender analysis of the exhibition Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in Gallery 234. Hours will be extended to accommodate the presentation. West will present information about the content of the exhibition.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday. For more information about Gallery 234, visit www.uwyo.edu/union/cac/gallery234.

UW Visual and Cultural Arts sponsors the event. Individuals needing assistance to attend should call the Campus Activities Center at (307) 766-6340.
