UW Art Museum to Offer Family Workshop Oct. 1

The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host “Family Saturday Workshop” Saturday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m.-noon.

The workshop will be led by museum educators to help families create Western wildlife masks and costumes inspired by the “Audubon & Van Hoesen: Illustrating Animals” exhibition. The workshop is free for families and individuals of all ages.

The UW Art Museum invites participants to wear costumes made during the workshop and walk with the Ann Simpson Artmobile in the UW Homecoming parade Saturday, Oct. 8.

Through its “Museum as Classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. Located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie, the museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday hours are extended to 7 p.m. February through April and September through November. Admission is free.
