October 31, 2016 — Associate Professor Teena Gabrielson, head of the University of Wyoming Department of Political Science, will give the fall Faculty Senate Speaker Series talk Tuesday, Nov. 15. The event is free and open to the public.

October 31, 2016 — The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host a reading and book signing to celebrate Wyoming artist Neltje’s memoir, “North of Crazy,” Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 5:30-7 p.m. Laramie’s Second Story Books will sell copies of her memoir during the event.

The HAPC will be one of the pre-eminent athletic facilities in the country, adding 71,000 square feet of new space and expanding the current Curtis and Marian Rochelle Athletics Center to over 118,000 square feet.

October 12, 2016 — A variety of mental health awareness events are planned Oct. 15-21 as part of Mental Health Awareness Week at the University of Wyoming. All events are free and open to the public, and no registration is needed.

October 5, 2016 — Enrollment of students from Wyoming has held steady, but a drop in out-of-state students has resulted in a decrease in enrollment at the University of Wyoming, according to fall 2016 enrollment numbers.

October 5, 2016 — Wetlands are critically important for water availability, forage production and maintaining biodiversity. Using satellite imagery, researchers at the University of Wyoming and The Nature Conservancy developed a novel approach to predict the presence of surface water in semi-arid landscapes to identify these crucial wetlands and their change over time.

October 5, 2016 — Jeanne Durr, currently the executive director of human resources at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, will join the University of Wyoming as associate vice president for human resources Oct. 17.
