University of Wyoming Tri Delta members Madison Nyman, from Laramie, and Madeline Smithbaker, of Lander, last year served up pancakes for the sorority’s annual pancake fundraiser that benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year’s 24-hour event is from 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, to 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Tri Delta house, located at 1616 Sorority Row. (Tri Delta Photo)

The University of Wyoming’s Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta) sorority will host its annual 24-hour pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, to 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Tri Delta house, located at 1616 Sorority Row.

The event, TriHop, is planned to raise funds for and awareness of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Tickets are $5 for a one-time entry and $20 for an all-night access ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door, from any Tri Delta member or at the pancake breakfast table located in the Wyoming Union breezeway.

To contribute to the UW Homecoming celebration, there will be entertainment, such as a live viewing of the football game; a meet-and-greet with Miss Wyoming Jordyn Hall; karaoke; pancake eating contests; a silent auction and more.

“This event is a favorite for not only the women in our chapter, but for everyone,” Tri Delta President Jordan Eischen says. “TriHop is a way for the entire UW and Laramie communities to come together during Homecoming weekend and help out an amazing cause.”

Last year, the UW Tri Delta chapter raised more than $14,000; this year’s goal is to raise $20,000.

“We take pride in the fact that we are the only Tri Delta chapter that hosts our pancake breakfast for 24 hours,” Eischen says. “We are so proud to help raise funds to help end childhood cancer.”
