UW Staff Recognition Day Scheduled March 24

Staff Recognition Day at the University of Wyoming is Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center.

UW employees have a maximum of 2.5 hours of release time to attend the annual event honoring the hardworking staff of UW. It provides an opportunity to show all staff members how much they are appreciated for everything they do to keep the main UW campus, and throughout the state, functioning and providing a top-notch educational experience to thousands of students.

The scheduling of release time should be a collaborative discussion between employee and supervisor to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the unit.

Staff Recognition Day will feature door prizes, entertainment, years of service recognition and awards to the university’s outstanding staff members. A highlight will be the announcement of the Employee of the Year, and 20 individual Staff Awards will be presented to outstanding UW staff members.
