UW Provost Finalists Plan Campus Appearances

Finalists for the position of provost/senior vice president for academic affairs at the University of Wyoming have been identified, and they’re scheduled to give public presentations at UW beginning Tuesday, Feb. 9.

The candidates are Anne Alexander, currently the interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at UW; Kevin Carman, professor of biology and former provost and executive vice president at the University of Nevada-Reno; John Griffin, senior associate provost and dean of undergraduate studies at Clemson University; and Corinne Lengsfeld, senior vice provost for research and graduate education at the University of Denver.

Each candidate will be on campus for a full day of engagement, beginning Monday, Feb. 8, for the first candidate and ending Tuesday, Feb. 16, for the final candidate. These visits will include public presentations/forums in which the campus community can participate virtually. The topic of the presentations is “Challenges of the 21st Century Land-Grant University,” to be followed by questions and answers.

Griffin’s public presentation is Tuesday, Feb. 9, from 10-10:45 a.m., followed by 30 minutes for questions and answers. To learn more about him, go here.
