UW Libraries Partners with The Washington Post to Provide Complimentary Access

University of Wyoming Libraries and The Washington Post have partnered to provide university-sponsored access to WashingtonPost.com for all UW students, faculty and staff.

Through the partnership, UW community members have full digital access to news and content via WashingtonPost.com. Access includes current news coverage from across the country and around the world, as well as content such as podcasts, live chats and videos.

UW students, faculty and staff can activate their unlimited access by visiting www.washingtonpost.com while connected on campus. Those off campus can go to https://www-washingtonpost-com.libproxy.uwyo.edu/. Off-campus UW users will be prompted for their Wyo Login credentials. No login or account is needed on The Post site. The subscription is web only; access with device apps is currently unavailable.

“Like our recent partnership with The Wall Street Journal, we’re really excited about offering digital access to The Washington Post,” says Deborah McCarthy, UW Libraries assistant dean of resource discovery and management. “UW community members can access content on WashingtonPost.com dating back to 2005. For content earlier than 2005, our historical newspaper database can be used.”

For a complete list of UW Libraries’ newspaper subscriptions, including FAQs for digital access, visit https://uwyo.libguides.com/newspapers.
