UW Winter Commencement Dec. 11

The University of Wyoming will accord degrees to about 850 students during a combined winter commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 11, at 9 a.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.

Speakers for this year’s commencement include keynote speaker Carol Mead, a UW alumna and former Wyoming first lady who is receiving an honorary doctoral degree; and student speaker Lucia Bennett, of Golden, Colo., who is graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business management, with a concentration in human resources and a minor in marketing communications.

The new graduates include 661 undergraduates and 190 graduate students.

Masks are recommended but not required during the ceremony, which also will be livestreamed via YouTube at and WyoCast at

Students graduating will need to gather at War Memorial Fieldhouse at 7:30 a.m. that day; they can reference this map for more information.
