UW and Wyoming Community Navigator Program to Discuss Brand Strategy April 21

Small-business owners can learn how to create brand strategy for their companies Friday, April 21.

Liz Jamieson will present a Wyoming Community Navigator Program (CNP) webinar titled “Creating a Strong Brand Identity and Implementing Your Brand Strategy” from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. To register, go here. Registration is free.

The Wyoming CNP, through the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network at the University of Wyoming, provides small-business resources and assistance for traditionally underserved entrepreneurs throughout Wyoming.

During this interactive webinar, Jamieson will address what small-business owners will want to think about as they develop their brand identities, brand art, brand strategies, brand language and their position in the marketplace. Jamieson also will discuss how small-business owners can shop for and work with potential designers; how to develop brand guidelines; and how to implement these guidelines across multiple platforms.

Jamieson has been coaching, facilitating and training in a variety of environments for decades, including as a Washington SBDC certified business adviser; business coach and program director for a Small Business Administration Women’s Business Center; and as manager of corporate training and continuing education for a technical college.

She owned a website design and development firm for many years, where she coached entrepreneurs in branding, sales and marketing. There, she worked on the online presence, collateral and copy for over 100 different small businesses. To build her business, she cold-called entire chamber of commerce directories. Jamieson’s strengths are in technical online marketing, loan packaging, business planning and development, and social media.
