Dawn Rudolph is the Community Living Program Manager, Senior, at the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities. In this role, she works closely with the state's service system supporting people with developmental disabilities to live quality lives in their communities.
Prior to her work at WIND, Dawn worked at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities for 14 years directing the UCEDD Resource Center supporting university-based centers advancing developmental disabilities research, education, service, and policy. Dawn’s earlier work includes directly supporting children, adults, and families with disabilities across systems. After working as a direct support professional supporting adults with disabilities, Dawn taught preschool-aged children with disabilities in early intervention classrooms and homes. Subsequent training in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy led to work as a family therapist specializing in work with families whose young children were first diagnosed with disabilities, helping families adjust to their child’s diagnoses and needs while learning the special education systems. Dawn returned to work with adults with developmental disabilities as a community living director for non-profit service providers, served as an expert witness in cases related to guardianship and supported decision-making, and worked for the District of Columbia Developmental Disability Administration as the administrator of service coordination. She is well-versed in person-centered and community-based policies, systems and supports for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Read more about why this is important to Dawn.
Dawn holds an MSEd in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Special Education from Gwynedd-Mercy College.
