Terri Wofford is a Speech Language Pathologist with the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) and manager for the Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources (WATR).

Terri obtained a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from East Tennessee State University and has more than 22 years of experience working with individuals with complex communication needs. Terri provides professional development in the areas of Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT) for the community, early intervention teams, Speech Language Pathologists, and K-12 educators.  She assists with content development, delivery, and case consultations within the UW Project ECHO in Assistive Technology and ECHO Autism networks. 

As a manager for the Wyoming Assistive Technology Resources (WATR), Terri provides information/assistance, device demonstrations, device loans, trainings, technical assistance, funding information, and supports AAC/AT assessments through team collaboration and consultation. She is passionate about developing a functional communication system using a multi-disciplinary team approach and believes that everyone has the ability and the right to communicate. 

Terri is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), Special Interest Group 12 for AAC, the American Hippotherapy Association (AHA), and a Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) partner with the Center for AAC and Autism. As an avid horse lover, Terri enjoys incorporating her passion for horses and AAC using equine assisted speech therapy to develop communication skills.    

In her free time, Terri enjoys participating in ranch horse competitions, fishing, hiking, and exploring new areas of the state.
