Dr. J.J. Shinker

Dr. Jacqueline “J.J.” Shinker is a Professor of Geography at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on climate change and the impacts of drought on water resources in the mountainous headwaters of Western North America. Dr. Shinker is the faculty advisor for UW’s Multicultural Association of Student Scientists (MASS) and the associate director of the Wyoming Latina Youth Center. Dr. Shinker grew up in Tucson, Arizona, has lived in Wyoming for the last 12 years and loves the mountains of the west
