On Clinical Rotations

McKenzie grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She attended the University of Wyoming and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology in 2020. As an AmeriCorps volunteer at the Downtown Clinic, she developed a passion for medically underserved communities and wants to help create more equitable access to quality healthcare. McKenzie was also a patient care technician for a geriatrician in Laramie, Wyoming, where she learned the power of building rich relationships with patients and the community. She experienced leadership opportunities and a team-based approach to delivering healthcare, two aspects that excite her most about a medical career. She sees a future in the family or internal medicine field but is eager to explore all fields. In her free time, she enjoys being at the lake, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
