Jill Mayer (E-24)

Jill grew up in Big Horn, Wyoming. She attended Indiana University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 2021. After graduating, she began working as a COVID tester in a hospital outpatient clinic before being offered the opportunity to learn phlebotomy. Jill moved to Laramie where she continued to work as a phlebotomist at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. Her passion for medicine stems from experiencing the lack of healthcare access in rural areas and has been reinforced by making connections with the community through volunteering at the Downtown Clinic, her work in hospitals, and shadowing local physicians. Jill is looking forward to using what she learns from the UWSOM to provide quality care rooted in strong patient connections. Outside of her medical interests, Jill enjoys baking, hiking, skiing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
