Aedian in her Whitecoat

Aedian grew up in Bondurant, Wyoming and moved to Laramie in middle school. Growing up in Wyoming, she learned the importance of intergenerational relationships and taking care of your neighbor; this fostered her gravitation towards medicine. During her undergraduate study at the University of Wyoming, she gained clinical experience as a patient care technician at the Meredith and Jeannie Ray Cancer Center, where she created long-term relationships with patients. She also conducted research on physiological and morphometric adaptations at moderate altitude in mice, and later graduated with a bachelor’s in Physiology. Over the past year, Aedian received her WEMT license with NOLS and combined her love for the outdoors and medicine working as a ski patroller. She thoroughly enjoys working with a team to apply clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills to assist with outdoor emergencies. Recently working as an intake intern with patients at the Downtown Clinic in Laramie, she gained a better understanding of the social determinants of health and barriers to healthcare access. She plans to continue working with underserved communities during her career as a physician. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, weightlifting, running, mountain biking, and joining her friends for picnics and "intense" pickle-ball matches at Undine Park.
