Sarah with horses

Sarah grew up in Northern California before moving to Wyoming in middle school. Sarah took to the state immediately and enjoyed exploring all Wyoming has to offer through high school rodeo, 4H, and FFA. She attended the University of Wyoming, earning her BS and MS in Animal and Veterinary Science, and worked as a research assistant in the Reproductive Physiology Laboratory in the department of Animal Sciences. As the 2022 recipient of the NAAB Doak Graduate Research Fellowship, she explored bovine embryo multiplication and the reproductive microbiome of the bull. Her time in research led her to find her passion in human medicine, which solidified through experiences volunteering and working as a caregiver in the Laramie community. Sarah is honored to continue her education in Wyoming through the WWAMI program. She is most looking forward to giving back to the state as part of the ongoing effort to provide exemplary healthcare to the people of Wyoming. In her free time, Sarah loves to ride her horses, spend time with friends and family, and explore through hiking, biking, and downhill skiing.
