Cassidy is a fourth-generation Wyomingite and was raised in Jackson, Wyoming. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Minor in Leadership Studies. She was involved in undergraduate biochemical therapeutic research where she practiced the skill of science communication. Cassidy values building relationships with and serving her community. She has volunteered in non-profits that address social determinants of health such as food insecurity, and increase science enthusiasm and literacy through elementary science outreach programs. Cassidy has also worked as a CNA at an OB-GYN clinic and surgery center in her underserved hometown. Through these experiences she found her path to medicine, combining her love of science, relationships, and serving underserved communities. Cassidy is passionate about medicine and how science communication can be utilized to compassionately heal and educate patients on a level they understand to ensure they can make informed decisions and are active in their health. She wants to advocate for her patients and organize with others toward a more just, equitable, and healthy society. She has strong interests in OB-GYN and Emergency Medicine but is excited to explore different specialties throughout medical school. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, skiing, and fly fishing.
