Erica has always had an innate sense of curiosity, wanting to understand things at the deepest level. This led her to get a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, with minors in Spanish and physiology. While in school she tutored chemistry, biology, and Spanish courses on campus. With this passion for learning and growing Erica then got an internship in an immunology lab on campus, studying intracellular parasites. She also worked as a STEM outreach consultant, getting the opportunity to travel around Wyoming to teach preschoolers-12th graders the magic of biology. After graduating from the University of Wyoming Erica started working full time as a CNA on the surgical, orthopedic, and neurology floor of a hospital, finding extreme gratitude in caring for patients and bringing laughter to their hospital stay. In her free time she enjoys going for long runs, cooking, acrylic painting, reading, and spending time with her two cats.
