Rachael was born and raised in Jackson, Wyoming where she developed a strong connection to her community and the natural world around her. She graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology and a minor in earth and environmental science. Her undergraduate research focused on combating antibiotic resistance through bioengineering, highlighting the role of scientific innovation in addressing global health challenges. While studying abroad in Cambodia, she witnessed how environmental destruction, systemic inequities, and limited access to healthcare intersect to threaten well-being. Rachael has worked in rural and underserved communities, fueling her commitment to provide accessible and compassionate healthcare. She has also volunteered with literacy center organizations, reflecting her dedication to service and education. In her free time, she enjoys running, skiing, and camping.
