LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA

LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA is Now Available 

Respondus support reports that many universities have had success with this beta version of LockDown Browser.

Students:

You may now use LockDown Browser on your personal Chromebook. 

To install LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA:

  1. Log into the Chromebook and start Google Chrome.
  2. Log into WyoCourses and navigate to the exam that requires LockDown Browser.
  3. Select the link for downloading and installing LockDown Browser. 
  4. From the Chrome web store, select "Add to Chrome" to install the LockDown Browser Extension.

Please note: If you are using LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA, you must inform your instructor. This LockDown extension will only work for quizzes your instructor has enabled for use with LockDown Browser for Chromebook.

Faculty:

In order for your students to use LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA, you must enable the use of this Chromeook version for each exam.

To enable LockDown Browser for Chromebook BETA:

  1. Go to the LockDown Browser Dashboard in WyoCourses for your exam.
  2. Select "Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam".
  3. Expand "Advanced Settings" and select "Allow students to use LockDown Browser for Chromebook (beta)."
  4. Save the exam settings for the LockDown Browser.
  5.  

Please note: You will have to adjust these settings for every exam you are using LockDown Browser for.
