Finding the Balance

The Finding the Balance: Energy and Climate summit was a three day event that brought together high-level decision-makers, experts in the field of energy and climate, and other interested parties from across the U.S. and beyond to share information and find common ground on balancing energy needs with climate considerations. It took place in Jackson, Wyoming, October 8-10, 2007 at Walk Festival Hall. The issue were explored from a variety of different perspectives, emphasizing economic, scientific, public policy, and societal values.

It was co-sponsored by the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute, Ruckelshaus Institute of Environment and Natural Resources, the School of Energy Resources, and the Stroock Forum on Wyoming Lands and People, all of the University of Wyoming. The summit combined keynote speakers and panel discussions to facilitate learning and dialogue among participants.
