The School of Energy Resources offers a Bachelor of Science in Energy Resource Management and Development, which includes two unique concentrations to prepare you for your future career in energy. 100% of our graduates since 2017 to present have received job offers and/or graduate school admission within six months of graduation.

The Professional Land Management Concentration trains landmen and land agents to understand the business and legal challenges facing an energy development program. These professionals have the opportunity to build trusting relationships between landowners and energy companies.

The Energy and Environmental Systems Concentration trains environmental scientists and reclamation planners to use their knowledge of natural resources to protect the environment during energy development. Most of the work done by these scientists involves identifying and assessing threats to the environment, developing plans to prevent and fix problems such as pollution, and provide guidance about possible hazards and health risks. Reclamation specialists work to limit land disruption and repair the land as part of energy projects.
