John W. Hoyt Scholarship

The John W. Hoyt Scholarship is available to Wyoming residents who transfer to the University of Wyoming from a Wyoming community college with an Associate's degree.

Qualifying transfers with a 3.40 cumulative transfer GPA (GPA calculated using grades in all credits taken at another institution) will receive an award in the amount of $1,000 annually.

To be considered, students must:

  • Apply for admission and submit the $40 admission application fee by May 1 (Fall enrollment) or December 1 (Spring enrollment)
  • Submit official college transcripts by May 1 (Fall enrollment) or December 1 (Spring enrollment)
