As the nation's second-largest energy producer, Wyoming is profoundly affected by developments in world energy markets and energy policy. In response to this need, the School of Energy Resources at the University of Wyoming established the Center for Energy Economics and Public Policy (CEEPP).
The CEEPP provides objective information and analysis for energy policies at the state, national, and international level that strive to balance economic, environmental, and social considerations. CEEPP studies estimate the costs and benefits of energy technologies and policies and seek to convey the implications for energy markets and macroeconomic growth in Wyoming and beyond.
The goal of the CEEPP is to provide scientifically rigorous information and analysis to help meet this challenge. Through authoritative research studies, the university provides guidance and resources for government and industry policy-makers to better understand how their actions will affect world energy markets, end users, and the environment.
