2004 Shepard Symposium on Social Justice Endnote Speaker: Dr. Omowale Akintunde

Omowale Akintunde taught methods, diversity, and curriculum classes while an assistant profes-sor at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Akintunde now teaches multicultural education classes with the University of Wyoming Outreach School. Well pub-lished in the areas of education, race, and diversity, he received the Bachelor of Science and Master of Music Education degrees from Alabama State University and the Ph.D., in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

In demand as a lecturer worldwide, his national televi-sion appearances include the ”Crier Report” with Catherine Crier on Fox News Network and the ”Morning News” on MSNBC. Dr. Akintunde also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the National Association for Multicultural Education.
