Course Website Support -- Summer 2013

eCompanion Support

Instructors (of Outreach or Campus Classes)

To create an eCompanion Course shell for any summer (or Fall) course please go directly to the Course Request form at http://www.uwyo.edu/outreach/ocp/online-uw/facultycourserequest/
For problems with the creation of the eCompanion course shell (e.g. student enrollment issues) please email CourseRq@uwyo.edu, or contact the Outreach staff for assistance, at 800-448-7801 or ocp@uwyo.edu.

Students (of Outreach or Campus classes)

We recommend that you access your eCompanion course directly by logging in at http://online.uwyo.edu. Your Login ID is your UWYO username. If you do not know your password, follow the "Forgot Password?" link. For that, use your UWYO username as User ID, and an email will be sent to your UWYO account to let you reset your password.
If you cannot access the course, please contact the Outreach staff for assistance, at 800-448-7801, 766-4300, or ocp@uwyo.edu. Please be aware that the course is not accessible until the first official day of the class.

Course Studio (Campus Classes Only)

We recommend that you go to the ECTL’s Website on Supplemental Course Websites for information about creating a Course Studio Website and instructions for standard teaching tasks in Course Studio.

Instructional Computing Services assists the university’s instructional community and assistants with exploration, design, development, and evaluation of computer-derived teaching materials, and with their use via course websites. Our technology lab offers hardware and software for authoring of materials, scanning to digital forms, and other teaching-related tasks. Lab staff are happy to help you explore, choose, and learn the technologies that we support.

The following two services are especially popular:

Course websites: The University of Wyoming supports two systems for creating supplementary course websites: Course Studio and eCompanion. We can help you use these systems or explore other options for web-based teaching. To learn more about choosing and using these systems, click Supplemental Course Websites.

Technology workshops: We offer regular workshops for live technical instruction. Click Technology Workshops for workshop schedules and materials.

Instructors are encouraged to call ahead to make sure necessary equipment and assistance are available for the time they request.

Contact us to make an appointment, or drop by our office in Coe 510B during lab hours, which are generally 9:00 to 4:00, Monday through Friday during the school year.

Summer Hours: In the summer, we operate by appointment, and will respond to e-mail and phone calls intermittently.
