Snap Programming

Last Updated: 7/27/18

This Arduino module takes past circuits and codes, and applies them to a new program called Snap4Arduino. Snap4Arduino allows us to program an Arduino board in an environment similar to Scratch, which is well known for the ease with which its graphical programming can be done. In this module, you'll learn how to configure an Arduino for Snap4Arduino, communicate with an Arduino in real time from your computer, and modify game sprites based on signals from the Arduino. As the title suggests, this module is an introduction, so rather than present a bunch of new ideas, it aims to give you a starting point for integrating Snap4Arduino into other modules. As such, this module will (hopefully) be helpful to teachers of all grade levels.

The presentation material and the code can be downloaded at Snap Programming.
