Chris Boswell, Vice President

Chris Boswell was named UW’s Vice President for Governmental and Community Affairs in August of 2012.  He served for eight years as Chief of Staff to Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal, and later as Director of the Wyoming Department of Administration and Information under Governor Matthew H. Mead.  Earlier in his career, he served as assistant press secretary to US Senator Malcolm Wallop, and as news director for KUGR Radio in Green River, Wyoming.  Chris was a small business owner in Green River for 19 years.  During this time he was elected to six terms in the Wyoming House of Representatives.

Chris is married to Kathryn Paxton Boswell.  Both of the Boswells are UW graduates.
