Recruitment

Every Fall, the Greek Community at the University of Wyoming holds Formal Greek Recruitment activities to help new students learn more about the community, and potentially join a Greek letter organization.

This program, which takes place usually in the first couple of weeks of the semester's start, focuses on letting participants view and tour each of the fraternity / sorority chapters on campus, learn about those chapters individually, and develop relationships inside those chapters.

Every chapter opens its doors for participants during this event, and plans a structured presentation that highlights their own competencies, ideals, and areas of focus on campus and in the community.

Perhaps the single best opportunity for a student to learn about Greek life and the advantages it can provide them, the Formal Recruitment Program is designed to make the decision of joining a Greek organization an easy one.

A formal invitation for recruitment from the Interfraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council is below, and to download the Recruitment form for registration, please click on the link that best meets your needs below:

OrientationParents and Incoming Students of the University of Wyoming, Welcome to the University of Wyoming! We know that many thoughts and concerns are running through your mind about your future at UW. How to get involved, meet friends, and excel in the classroom are just a few that you may be facing. Fortunately there are campus organizations that can help you succeed in your transition into university life.

There are many traditions at the University of Wyoming; Steamboat, Brown and Gold, and Homecoming Sing to name a few. These are some of the things that make UW such a unique place. The UW Greek community also prides itself on a rich tradition of leadership, scholarship and service, which sets itself apart from other student organizations. Becoming Tug of wara part of the UW Greek Community is a fantastic way to instantly connect with men and women from across campus and around the world! We are proud of the opportunities provided by our 8 men’s fraternities and 4 women’s sororities, all of which are nationally recognized organizations. Each chapter holds strong to their founding principles and values, and strives to set the campus standard for academics, service, leadership and involvement.

We would like to invite you to experience the UW Greek community for yourself this fall. To register for Fall Recruitment, complete the application which is linked above, and return it to the Office of Student Life when you come to campus. We will also be hosting a breakout session during orientation to discuss the opportunities UW Greek Life can present.

If you have any questions regarding UW Greek Life contact us at the numbers below, or drop us an email gogreek@uwyo.edu. We look forward to seeing you in the fall!
