Welcome to UW Mathematics
The mathematics department faculty are dedicated to its undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate programs through a passion for teaching, a deep commitment to research and discovery, and by demonstrating significant relevance to a large number of other intellectual fields in science and engineering.
The department strives to nurture and prepare its own students for successful careers in the mathematical sciences, whether in academic, governmental, or industrial positions. It also strives to provide the foundation for studying and mastering all other fields that use mathematics.
