Admissions Requirements

A minimum combined score of 291 is required for Master's applicants.
GRE scores are valid for 5 yrs.

Applicants for whom English is not their first language must complete the TOEFL (600 or 100 iBT minimum score) examination or IELTS (6.5 minimum score). However, financial assistance is typically provided to only those students with demonstrated communication skills in spoken English and to those whose TOEFL scores reach 650 and above (114 Ibt) or IELTS (7.0). Therefore, for all students desiring to be considered for financial assistance we recommend taking the TSE (Test of Spoken English) examination or being able to present other evidence of English speaking ability.

The department of Mathematics & Statistics requires 3 confidential letters of recommendation, mailed directly from recommender (these may be emailed to statistics@uwyo.edu or submitted through the admissions application process).
