UW Board of Trustees to Meet Sept. 20-22

The University of Wyoming Board of Trustees will receive reports on enrollment, strategic plan implementation and President Ed Seidel’s Freedom of Expression, Intellectual Freedom and Constructive Dialogue Working Group during the board’s regular meeting Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 20-22.

The meeting will take place at the Marian H. Rochelle Gateway Center. Public sessions of the board and its committees may be observed by the public at https://wyolinks.uwyo.edu/trusteessept/.

Committees of the board will meet Wednesday in several rooms of the Gateway Center, starting with the Facilities Contracting Committee and the Fiscal and Legal Affairs Committee at 11 a.m.

Thursday’s meeting of the full board will begin at 8 a.m. with an executive session. The public session is expected to start at 9:30 a.m.

The board will accept public testimony on any topics at 11 a.m. Thursday. Those wishing to offer verbal testimony should go to www.uwyo.edu/trustees/public-testimony/web_form.html to fill out the web form. The deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19.

An initial review of UW’s 2023 Saddle Up program for new students is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Thursday. Seidel is scheduled to discuss next recommendations from the Freedom of Expression, Intellectual Freedom and Constructive Dialogue Working Group at 11:15 a.m., with the strategic plan implementation update at 11:30 a.m. The fall 2023 enrollment report is set for 2 p.m.

Another executive session is scheduled at 8 a.m. Friday, with the board’s business meeting from 9-11 a.m. Trustees will participate in a ribbon cutting for UW’s new Ivinson Parking Garage upon adjournment Friday.
