 ReNEW BSN Overview

ReNEW is Wyoming's shared nursing curriculum. As of fall 2018, all Wyoming community college nursing programs are delivering the ReNEW curriculum. Students in these programs are eligible to enroll in ReNEW BSN coursework at UW simultaneously with their ADN programs. Graduates of ReNEW Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) programs can become licensed RNs and, depending on status, complete the ReNEW BSN with as few as ten (10) remaining credit hours of coursework. Simultaneous enrollment is an option, not a requirement. ReNEW ADN graduates can begin the ReNEW BSN coursework at any time after licensure and from any location also.

----------

Advantages:

  • ReNEW better prepares nursing students for practice in today's healthcare environment.

  • ReNEW offers a direct, yet flexible path to a BSN degree.

  • ReNEW provides a vehicle for statewide collaboration and enhancement of nursing education and service to students.

The health of Wyoming residents will be enhanced by nurses prepared through ReNEW. For more global information about the project, please visit the State of Wyoming's ReNEW web site.
